Musketeers Suffer Setback At Duquesne

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Xavier sophomore Jessica Brooks led the Musketeers with three shots including two shots on goal but it was not enough as XU fell at Duquesne 4-0 Friday night. The Musketeers (2-12-1, 1-5-1 A-10) will continue the road trip Sunday at St. Bonaventure at noon.
The Dukes jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Duquesne forward Shaina Geisler hit her first goal of the match in the 2nd minute and followed with another goal in the 26th minute. Morgan Herbert scored in the 34th minute to give the Dukes a 3-0 lead heading into intermission.
Duquesne scored once more in the 89th minute to round out the 4-0 win.
XU senior goalkeeper Kelly Farrell posted three saves in a complete game effort. DU keeper Gabby Morrin posted a pair of saves.
