BROX, N.Y. – Fordham forward Annie Worden posted two goals as the Xavier Musketeers dropped a 4-0 decision to Fordham Sunday in Atlantic 10 action. With the loss, Xavier falls to 2-9-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the conference. Fordham improves to 3-9-1 overall and an even 2-2-0 in the Atlantic 10.
The Rams got scored their first goal in the 10th minute off forward Leah Loguidice. The Rams posted two goals in each half.
Xavier posted only two shots in the loss with strikes from freshman Brett Sweeney and sophomore Jessica Brooks. Senior goalkeeper Kelly Farrell played 45 minutes and allowed two goals. XU goalkeepers Jenny Rosen and Jennifer Perri split the second half and allowed a goal each.
The Musketeers will return to action on Friday, October 9 at 5 p.m. as they host Saint Louis.
