
Women's Soccer Suffers 2-0 Loss At St. Bonaventure

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- The Xavier women's soccer team's final road trip of the 2010 regular season got off to a rough start as the Musketeers fell to Atlantic 10 foe St. Bonaventure 2-0 Friday. With the loss, Xavier fell to 7-9-0 overall and 3-4-0 in the A-10 while St. Bonaventure improved to 9-7-0 and 3-3-0 in the conference.
Xavier fell behind 1-0 in the 37th minute when SBU forward Sarah Clark scored her first goal of the season. Alysa Lapp scored the second goal of the game in the 53rd minute when she finished a cross from Courtney Bosse.
XU saw seven players with a single shot in the game. The Bonnies came out of the gate hot offensively. SBU finished the game with 27 shots in all.
Starting goalkeeper sophomore Jennifer Perri was kept busy with nine saves in a complete game of work.
Xavier will look to rebound Sunday at 1 p.m. as they face Duquesne in the final road game of the regular season.
