Musketeers Post Strong Showing At Drobac Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Xavier men's tennis team wrapped up a successful run at the Stan Drobac Invitational hosted by Michigan State Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday, the Musketeers played well in singles action with junior Philip Diaz, and freshmen Freddy Abunku and Michael Moe posting wins.
On Saturday, Moe posted a 4-0, 2-4 (10-3) win in the opening round of singles action. Also posting wins in singles play were Diaz, sophomore Mesa Mei, and senior Marc Pretorius. In the third round of singles play on Saturday, senior Patrick Bandy, junior Brandon MacDonald, Abunku, and Pretorius led XU to a win over Western Michigan.
The Musketeers will return to action October 14 as they begin play in the Lousiville Invitational. The UofL Invite runs from October 14 through October 16.
