Musketeer Men Top Bonnies 6-1

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- The Musketeer men's tennis team evened its conference record at 2-2 with a 6-1 win at Atlantic 10 foe St. Bonaventure Friday.
"Today was a nice win for our guys," said XU head coach Eric Toth. "Any time you can beat St. Bonaventure at their place you must have competed and played very well, and that was the case today. We look forward to Temple on Sunday. They beat us in Philadelphia last year and I know our guys would like to avenge that loss."
Senior Bobby Deye defeated Chris Post in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1. Freshman Jimmy Roebker defeated Enric Larregola 7-6, 6-3 in the second singles match, sophomore Brandon MacDonald earned a victory at No. 3, while Mesa Mei and Brian Starr rounded out the XU wins at No. 4 and No. 6.
Xavier hosts Temple Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at Queen City Indoor tennis center.
