Moe, Mei Win Doubles Flight At UT Invite

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The duo of Mesa Mei and Michael Moe won the Barksdale Doubles Flight at the 2011 Tennessee Fall Invitational this weekend at the University of Tennessee.
"I felt it was a very good weekend for our guys," said XU head coach Eric Toth. "The effort was very good Friday through Sunday. I was most pleased with our doubles play. The four combinations we sent out performed very well and I'm confident our singles play will improve with increased practice and match play."
The tandem of Richard Canelas and Marc Pretorius fell in the Goodfriend Doubles main draw final, while the No. 54 ranked team of Brandon MacDonald and Phillip Diaz fell in the final of the top doubles flight.
In singles play, Diaz earned the top spot of the Volunteer main draw consolation flight.
The Musketeers will return to action September 30 as they begin play at the Michigan State Spartan Invitational.
