Osman, Vasquenza Honored as OCSA Academic All-Ohio Selections

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - Two Xavier men's soccer players were named to the 2016 Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) Academic All-Ohio NCAA Men's Division I Team this week. Majed Osman and Matt Vasquenza were both recognized after standout performances in the classroom and on the pitch.

Osman, a senior entrepreneurial studies major, carries a 3.57 GPA and was one of Xavier's top offensive threats in 2016. The London, England native started all 19 matches for XU and led the team in shots (61) and shots on goal (21), while scoring two goals and adding six assists.

Vasquenza, a junior management major, carries a 3.75 GPA and was a big weapon up top for XU once again in 2016. The East Hampton, Conn. native appeared in 17 matches, leading Xavier with 16 points on the season (five goals, six assists). He will enter his senior season with 17 career goals and within striking distance of a top-10 spot in the Xavier record book.
