"Maddie Britton has a great opportunity in the Mt. SAC 5K. Since coming off her PR at the Raleigh Relays, she's had some great workouts. She's in the fast section so she'll have plenty of great competition to push her to a outdoor school record attempt."
"Sarah Mazzei has a lot of experience racing in California at the three meets we've attend during her career. I think she can use that to her advantage and not let the size of the race or the level of competition get to her. I know she's really excited to race out west again and should be able to improve on her season best."
"Allison Sinning and Gina Genco will be racing in California for the first time. Because both are such strong competitors, I think they'll handle the competitive fields well. My goal for both of them is to go out and race aggressive."
"For both Tori and Haley, this will be their first time racing in California. I know both are ready for a breakthrough and with great competition and perfect weather I'm excited to see what they can do."
"Although Grayson Jenkins is only a freshman, he's very fit right now and ready to have a great race in any event from the 800-meter run through the 5K. The goal in California for Grayson will be to gain some more experience running against top competition and to improve on his 1,500-meter run time from Raleigh."
"Nolan Daniels has looked great in practice over the last three weeks. I think if he gets hooked up with the right group in the 800-meter run he's going to have a huge breakthrough."
"Jordan Shepherd is also a rookie when it comes to racing in California, but I think he'll adapt to whatever race I end up having him in. He's entered in a few different events and it will be a game time decision as to what he does."
