Mueck, Stefani Tabbed to All-BIG EAST Team

NEW YORK – Xavier men's tennis players Zach Mueck and Arthur Stefani were both named to the All-BIG EAST Team on Wednesday afternoon. The awards were voted on by the conference's eight head coaches.

Mueck, the 2015 Co-BIG EAST Player of the Year, earns the honors for the second time in as many seasons. Playing at the No. 1 singles position, the senior posted a 10-8 mark this spring. He finished his career as a four-time all-conference honoree.

Stefani posted a 16-4 singles record at the No. 3/4 singles spot this season, the best singles mark on the squad. The Sao Paulo, Brazil, native picks up All-BIG EAST honors for the first time in his career.

The Musketeers finished the year with a 12-9 (3-3 BIG EAST) record and advanced to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament before being defeated by eventual tournament champion, No. 1 seed St. John's.
