Britton Qualifies for NCAA East Regional

Sophomore runner will compete in the 10,000 meter run
CINCINNATI – Sophomore track standout Madeline Britton has qualified for the NCAA East Regional on May 26-28 in Jacksonville, Fla. The three-day meet will be held at Hodges Stadium on the campus of North Florida.
Britton will race in the 10,000-meter run at 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. The top 16 finishers will advance to the NCAA Championships on June 8-11 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Britton's qualifying time of 34:48.93 was set at the Penn Relays on April 29 in Philadelphia. She finished in fourth place at the event.
The Bay Village, Ohio, native is the first Xavier athlete to qualify for the NCAA Regionals since Clare Fischer (10,000-meter run) and Tom Ohlman (3,000-meter steeplechase) in 2014.
