Jalen Brown Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Xavier men's soccer senior Jalen Brown was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after leading XU in points during a 1-1 opening week.
The Indianapolis, Ind. native tied a career-high with three points in a season-opening win against Evansville on Friday. His penalty kick goal was the equalizer for the Musketeers and he also assisted on Derrick Otim's eventual game-winner.
For the week, Brown led team with eight shots while tying for the team-lead with two on frame. He tied for a team-high with five shots against Evansville and also fired three against UAB.
Xavier returns to action later this week, playing No. 17 Virginia on the road. First touch is set for 7 p.m. ET at Klöckner Stadium.
