Women's Basketball Partners with Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati

CINCINNATI - Xavier Athletics and Xavier Women's Basketball have partnered with the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (OCAGC) for a third consecutive year to spread awareness and participate in the initiative to fight ovarian cancer.

The Xavier women's basketball game vs. DePaul on Friday, Feb. 10 will serve as the marquee event of the 6th Annual Teal Power Shootout, a series of local basketball programs participating in the initiative. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Teal Power Shootout rally towel.

The OCAGC will also be in attendance at the men's basketball game vs. DePaul on Wednesday, Feb. 8 to raise awareness and sell raffle tickets for various prizes.

The Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati is a local, non-profit ovarian cancer resource organization whose mission is to create public awareness to the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, to provide support, resources, and education to ovarian cancer survivors and caregivers; and to fund research focused on early detection and a cure.
