Matt Vasquenza Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll After Three Goal Week

Senior forward now tied for 10th in program history with 23 career tallies
NEW YORK - Senior forward Matt Vasquenza of men's soccer was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after scoring three times during a 1-1 week for the Musketeers.
The East Hampton, Conn. native scored twice in the first half against Detroit on Tuesday, helping XU to a 3-1 win at home and followed it up with a goal against Seton Hall on Saturday to give him three goals in his last two matches. He is now second on the team with six goals this season.
Vasquenza's tally in the 2-1 road loss at Seton Hall gave him the team lead in points (15) and moved him into a tie for 10th in XU history with 23 career goals.
Xavier returns to action on the road this weekend, traveling to Creighton on Saturday for a 7 p.m. match at Morrison Stadium.
