Britton's Season Ends at NCAA Cross Country Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Madeline Britton's standout senior cross country season ended on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the NCAA National Championships at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park.
She placed 208th (out of 255 runners) in the 6K race, posting a time of 21:42.60. The Bay Village, Ohio, native finished her cross country career as a two-time All-BIG EAST selection and a USTFCCCA All-Region Team honoree.
She is only the second runner to compete at the national championships in program history. Clare Fischer finished 203rd overall in a time of 22:06.30 at the 2013 championships.Â
Britton finished her career ranked first in school history in the 5K record book and third in the 6K record book, respectively.Â
New Mexico won the national title, followed by San Francisco and Colorado. New Mexico's Ednah Kirgat won the individual title in a time of 19:19.42.
