Xavier Men's Tennis Announces 2018 Spring Schedule

Musketeers open dual play at Western Michigan on January 14
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis announced its spring slate of dual matches for the spring of 2018. The schedule opens up on Sunday, January 14 when the Musketeers head to Kalamazoo, Mich. to face Western Michigan.
Following the meet with WMU, Xavier travels to Ohio State, which closed out the 2016-17 season ranked No. 5 in the ITA team rankings. The Buckeyes feature four competitors currently ranked in the Top 100 in the ITA college men's standings.Â
Xavier opens it's home schedule on February 2 with Ball State at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club. Xavier plays a stretch of six of eight at Eastern Hills, including the BIG EAST opener with Georgetown on February 23. The only matches away from home during that stretch are Appalachian State, which will be played at Eastern Kentucky, and at Wright State.
The Musketeers will head to Orlando in early March to face East Carolina and Radford on a neutral court, before returning home to open up its outdoor home schedule.
Xavier will play four straight at home, including Dayton on March 16 and Detroit on March 17. The Musketeers close BIG EAST play at home with Villanova on March 24 and then closes out its home schedule the following day with Eastern Kentucky.
The Musketeers close out the dual schedule with four-straight conference matches away from home, traveling to DePaul, facing Creighton at Marquette before facing the Golden Eagles and then closing out the regular season at Butler on April 21.
Xavier closes out the spring at the 2018 BIG EAST Championships, held in Cayce, S.C. fom April 26 through April 29.
