Matt Bishop Earns BIG EAST Tennis Recognition

NEW YORK – Xavier men's tennis senior Matt Bishop earned a spot on the BIG EAST Tennis Honors.
Bishop earned the Big East Tennis recognition for his notable performances against Samford and Eastern Kentucky last weekend. The Ellicott City, Md. native finished 2-0 in singles and doubles play. Bishop defeated Samford 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 and Eastern Kentucky 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 2 singles spot. Bishop and his doubles partner, Gabriel Araujo, defeated Samford 6-4 in the No. 2 position. In No. 2 doubles play against Eastern Kentucky, Bishop and Araujo won 6-3.
The Musketeers play at Valparaiso on Feb. 17.
