Women’s Golf Heads West for Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Xavier women's golf team heads to Arizona today for the 15th annual Rio Verde Invitational. The three-day event will take place at the Rio Verde Country Club at the White Wing Course, which will be playing 6,215 yards and par 72.

The nineteen-team tournament field consists of the host team Western Michigan, Akron, Arkansas State, Ball State, Bowling Green, Bradley, Central Arkansas, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Missouri State, Northern Illinois, Northern Arizona, Ohio, Seton Hall, Little Rock, UMKC, Wichita State, and Xavier

Head coach Breanna Patz is sending two seniors and three underclassmen to compete at the event. Freshman Mikayla Fitzpatrick will be in the number one position, followed by Mikayla Smith, Grace Howie, Rachel Johnson, and Lindsey Murray.

First round begins with a shotgun start at 1 pm MT on Friday.
