"This is a new meet on our schedule since I've been at Xavier but one that I've heard a lot of great things about. Steve Keith and his staff at Vanderbilt have assembled a great group of team for this meet so I'm excited to take our women's varsity squad down to Nashville this weekend. Besides facing three of the top-34 teams in the nation, this will be our first time against both BIG EAST competition and teams that we'll see at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Individually this will also be a great opportunity for our returns and freshman to see how they respond against top competition like returning NCAA National Champion, Karissa Schweizer of Missouri."
• The Musketeers competed at the Bluegrass Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 9. The Xavier women placed fifth at the meet.
• Freshman Amanda Cusimano placed 24th to lead the Xavier women, posting a time of 19:03.00 in the 5K race.
• The Musketeers return to action at the All-Ohio Championships on Friday, Sept. 29. The meet is being hosted by Cedarville University.
