Musketeers enter week ranked as high as 19th in three separate polls
CINCINNATI – Xavier men's soccer appeared in three national polls this week, ranking as high as No. 19 in the Soccer America Top 25 after last weekend's 1-0 victory over then No. 9 Georgetown.
For XU, now 5-1-1 on the season, the national rankings are the first of any kind since Oct. 11, 2016 and come on the heels of a six-match unbeaten streak – the longest for the program since a nine-game spurt in 2014.
Outside of the Soccer America poll, Xavier is ranked No. 23 in the College Soccer News Top 30 and is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25. The Musketeers' 55 votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll places them 26th in the nation.
Xavier returns to action Wednesday night at No. 15 Kentucky, traveling to Lexington, Ky. for a 7:30 p.m. match.
