Team posted a grade point average of 3.68 for Fall 2017
CINCINNATI – Xavier women's soccer continued its standard of excellence in the classroom, finishing the Fall 2017 semester with a team grade-point average of 3.68, continuing a streak of posting a team grade point average of 3.5 or higher that dates back to 2013.
"As a program, we focus on achievement both on the field and in the classroom," said head coach Nate Lie. "Our team truly lives up to the title of 'student-athletes' and we're proud they continue to set a high standard for themselves and for our program moving forward."
Each of Xavier women's soccer's 28 student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the Fall 2017 semester, including 20 who earned Dean's List honors by earning a 3.5 or higher.
Seven Musketeers posted a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall, coinciding with the team's best conference performance on the field since joining the BIG EAST in 2013. The Musketeers earned the program's first berth to the BIG EAST Championship last fall.
The performance continues a trend of excellence in the classroom for women's soccer, posting a team GPA of 3.5 or higher in eight-straight semesters. The program has earned six United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) Team Academic Awards since 2011.
