Morgan Tinsley Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

Freshman finished tied for third at Babs Steffens Invitational for first collegiate top-10
NEW YORK - Xavier women's golfer Morgan Tinsley was named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week for the first time in her career on Wednesday, taking the award after tying for third at the Babs Steffens Invitational last week.
The result was her first collegiate top-10 finish as Tinsley also helped XU finish in third place as a team in Deland, Fla. She shot a three-round score of 227 (75-76-76), which was a season-best and 11 over par. Overall, Tinsley tied for the tourney's second highest par total with 39.
Tinsley has played in seven tournaments this season and is fourth on the team with a 78.48 stroke average and a low round of 72 for the year.
Xavier returns to action on Friday, March 30 at the two-day Colonel Classic at Eastern Kentucky.
