Garrett Wood 20th After 36 Holes at Boilermaker Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Men's golf finished the first two rounds in 17th place at the Boilermaker Invitational on Saturday. Garrett Wood led the Musketeers tying for 20th, entering the clubhouse with a 71, 75 (146, +2) scorecard.

In the first round, the freshman birdied on a par 3 No. 13 hole and continued to even his score at the 15th hole. In the second round, Wood earned three additional birdies to finish with five after the first day.

Martin Jaramillo finished with an 83 after two rounds, collecting a 77, 80 (157, +13) scorecard. Jaramillo started the second round shooting back-to-back birdies on the first and second hole.

Hunter Roberts finished the first day tied for 85th, scoring 75, 84 (159, +15).

Eduardo Rivera and Fox Morrissey finished tied for 91st. Rivera ended with a 84, 80 (164, +20) scorecard. Morrissey finished the day carding 80, 84 (164, +20).

TEAM RESULTS

The Musketeers finished the first day of the two-day outing in 17th place, leaving the green with a 303, 319 (622, +31) scorecard. Kent State, 285, 294 (579, +6), tied Northwestern, 284, 295 (579, +7), leading the competition.
