Chris Givin Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Junior shortstop Chris Givin was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, earning the recognition after hitting .429 (6-for-14) in a three-game week for the Musketeers.
The Castle Rock, Colo. native had a career-day on Saturday, going 5-for-5 with a double and a triple. For the week, Givin led XU with four runs scored.
In Friday's win, Givin was 1-for-5 with a run scored. He also walked and scored in Sunday's series finale.
Givin is second on the team this season with a .331 batting average and .393 on-base percentage in 44 games, leading XU and the BIG EAST with six triples on the season. He also paces the Musketeers with 37 RBI
Xavier returns to action on Tuesday, hosting crosstown rival Cincinnati at 3 p.m. at Hayden Field.
