Jack Housinger Named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Senior shortstop finishes opening weekend with five hits, including two home runs
NEW YORK - Following a five-hit weekend at Alabama to open the season, senior shortstop Jack Housinger was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Housinger, originally from Hawthorn Woods, Ill., went 5-of-12 (.417) with a pair of walks in the season-opening series. Four of his five hits went for extra bases, including a pair of home runs, for a team-best 1.083 slugging percentage.
Housinger drove in a team-high four RBI, including three in the season opener where the Musketeers took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth. He also came around to score three runs.
Xavier returns to action on Monday evening, making the trip to Louisville to face the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m.
