CINCINNATI – The Xavier Musketeers will face the Washington Huskies in the second game of the first-round doubleheader at the Continental Tire Main Event on Friday, Nov. 17 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Xavier vs. Washington will be played at 9 p.m. PT (12 midnight in Cincinnati) on ESPN2. San Diego State faces Saint Mary's at 6:30 p.m. PT in the first game, which will be shown on ESPN+.
The tournament continues on Sunday, Nov. 19, with the consolation game at 4:30 p.m. PT on ESPN+ followed by the championship game at 7 p.m. PT on ESPN2. Xavier head coach Sean Miller, coming off last season's run to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, has added 10 newcomers to the 2023-24 roster. The Musketeers got an early start to the season with two wins at the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League during the team's foreign tour in early August. Washington is also adding additional practice time this month by taking a foreign trip to Spain and France. The Huskies were victorious in their first game over a Spanish all-star team.
Coming off last season's run to the NCAA Championship Game, San Diego State is pegged as the No. 12 team entering the new season in ESPN's latest "Way-Too-Early" Top-25 published on Aug. 1. Saint Mary's comes in at No. 23 in the same rankings with three key returnees from last season's squad which finished No. 19 in the nation.

Virginia won last season's tournament, beating Illinois and catapulting the Cavaliers to a national top-five ranking. The event benefits Coaches vs. Cancer, an initiative spearheaded by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (www.nabc.com) and the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) and is managed by veteran Las Vegas promoter bdG Sports.
