With this being the first game as a team, how do you feel your team played overall?
I was pleased with our effort. We had a lot of people who played hard. Our defense was terrific in the first half. Like a lot of teams around the country, we still have a lot of work to do to be the team we are capable of.
Did anyone’s performance today stand out?
I think we had a lot of people do good things. This was Amber’s first real game back so I was happy to see her on the court and contributing for the team with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Certainly Ta’Shia was great around the basket. For Katie Rutan’s first game I think hitting five three-pointers was great. Special Jennings had a great floor game and kept us together and showed a lot of leadership.
What do you have to work on for the next game?
Buckle down defensively. I think coming along with our execution on the offensive side is important too.

Being that this is your first game, how did it feel?
Really exciting. I was so nervous coming in and my teammate helped me get focused and not be so nervous and so did my coaches.
What is your goal for the season?
I want to contribute as much as I can.
How was it to finally have your uniform on and play for the Musketeers?
It was great, no other feeling in the world. It is so much different than AAU or high school and I love it.

How do you feel you played today?
I played decently. I want to work more on free throws, but overall I feel I played well.
How do you feel the team played?
We did alright. We looked pretty good especially in the first half.
What do you think the teams need to work on?
We need to have more intensity and be anxious to play offense and defense
How did it feel to finally get out there and play again?
It felt good. It has been a while but it was great and I feel like I can do a lot more throughout the season.
What is your goal for the season?
I want to win a national championship.
