Baby Blob Race | November 28, 2025
Xavier Athletics is looking for all crawling babies up to 12 months to show off their crawling skills in the Baby Blob Race, which will take place at halftime of the Xavier men's basketball game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday, November 28. Tip-off is set for 5:30pm so you can get your naps in before. The race will take place at approximately 6:30pm. The winning baby will receive two tickets to the Xavier men's basketball game vs. Butler on Tuesday, January 14 and a Xavier prize pack.
If you would like your child to compete in this halftime race, please complete the form below. Registration closes on November 14. Filling out this form does not guarantee entry. Ten contestants will be randomly selected to participate and will be contacted by Xavier Athletics. Parents of the participating babies will receive two complimentary tickets to the game. - The Baby Blob Race is for babies up to 12 months of age, but cannot be walkers.
- Two escorts may accompany the baby to the game and will be permitted on court. Two tickets will be provided for each contestant.
- Parents/Guardians may use objects (toys, keys, stuffed animals etc.) to encourage babies along the course.
- Racecourse will extend from the foul line to half court, a distance of approximately 42 feet.
- If at any point race participants become uncomfortable with the situation (crying, refusing to move, etc.), parents/guardians may remove their baby from the race.
- For the baby to win, they must cross any part of their body across the finish line without parental assistance.
