Trevon Bluiett Named to BIG EAST All-Tournament Team

Sophomore guard averaged 19.5 points per game

NEW YORK - Trevon Bluiett was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team on Saturday night after averaging 19.5 points per game in two tournament contests.

The sophomore guard hit 56 percent (14-for-25) of his shot attempts and was 8-for-15 from behind the arc during the tournament. He also added seven rebounds.

The All-BIG EAST First Team selection matched his career high in scoring with 24 points in the quarterfinals, helping the Musketeers defeat Marquette. He also had 15 points vs. Seton Hall, the 2016 BIG EAST Tournament Champions, in the semifinals.

Bluiett and the Musketeers (27-5) await their next match up when the NCAA Tournament seeding is announced on Sunday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. on CBS. Stay tuned to GoXavier.com for more information.
