Trevon Bluiett earns spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after milestone week
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's basketball freshman forward Naji Marshall has been named BIG EAST Conference Freshman of the Week for a second time in the month of January. In addition, senior guard Trevon Bluiett earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the sixth time this season.
Marshall contributed 10 points, three rebounds and four assists to Xavier's win over Marquette on Jan. 24. He has started each of the four games of Xavier's current four-game winning streak.
Bluiett contributed 13 points, a game-high 10 rebounds and a game-high tying five assists in the win over Marquette. It marked his 10th career double-double. In addition, Bluiett became the fifth member of Xavier's 2,000-point club.
Xavier, 19-3 overall and 7-2 in the BIG EAST, visits St. John's on Tuesday night. Tip is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
