Naji Marshall Is A Unanimous Selection To The BIG EAST All-Freshman Team

Marshall earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week four times since early January.
Xavier had another player honored unanimously by the BIG EAST coaches. Senior guard Trevon Bluiett has been named to the BIG EAST Conference First Team for the third straight year.

Marshall, who was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week four times since early January, has averaged 11.3 ppg. and 6.9 rpg. over the last seven games, raising his season averages to 8.4 ppg. and 4.1 rpg.

Marshall is the third Musketeer to earn a spot on the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team. Bluiett earned a spot on the 2014-15 BIG EAST All-Freshman Team and Edmond Sumner earned a spot on the 2015-16 BIG EAST All-Freshman Team.

No. 3 Xavier, 27-4, won the BIG EAST Regular Season Championship with a 15-3 record. The Musketeers are the No. 1 seed in this week's BIG EAST Tournament at Madison Square Garden. XU plays its first game on Thursday at noon against the winner of the Georgetown/St. John's game on Wednesday.
