"We're very excited to be back at the Ball State Challenge this year. Last year we were unable to compete due to Easter Break, so we're glad we are returning after our one-year hiatus. The meet being moved from Saturday to Friday also gives the team an opportunity to race in some great weather with some favorable winds against solid competition. Now that we are well into our outdoor season and we've shaken all of the rust off I expect to see some outstanding performances."
"On the men's side, we have our top 4x400 meter relay squad competing. They were within striking distance of the school record last time they ran in 40 degree weather, so that record could fall by a significant margin. The women's side features some incredibly strong runners in the 800 and 1500. Look for them near the top of the results list come days end."
Â
• Xavier will split its squads next weekend as the Musketeers will compete in three meets: Bryan Clay Invitational (April 19-20 - Azusa, Calif.), Mt. SAC Relays (April 19-21 - Torrance, Calif.) and the Pacesetter Sports Invitational (April 20-21 - Terre Haute, Ind.).
