XU SOCCER COMPLEX

The Xavier University Soccer Complex is home to both the men's and women's soccer programs. The facility underwent renovations in 2011, highlighted by the installation of FieldTurf. The FieldTurf was replaced in 2016.
The XU Soccer Complex serves as the primary venue for the Musketeers' home matches as well as practices. It is also used by numerous local clubs and XU intramurals in the off-season.
The XU Soccer Complex was once the home of the Xavier University football team which ceased competition in 1972.
HEIDT FAMILY CHAMPIONS CENTER

Plans for the Heidt Family Champions Center at the O'Connor Sports Complex were unveiled in August 2018. The new state-of-the art training facility will give nearly two-thirds of Xavier's student-athletes a one-stop location for sport-specific training, sports medicine and strength and conditioning.
Construction on the facility, named for lead donors Dr. Rob Heidt, Jr. and his wife Julia Heidt, will begin in 2020 following the completion of the Health United Building or HUB currently under construction on Xavier's campus. With the addition of a new student recreation center at the HUB, Xavier Athletics will transform the current O'Connor Sports Center into a state-of-the art training center.
The Schmidt/O’Connor transition will change the landscape for Xavier’s Olympic sports. The relocation of Xavier’s Olympic sports to a newly renovated, state-of-the art “Olympic Village” will transform the experience for 60 percent of Xavier’s student-athletes and nearly half of the department’s staff and coaches. Specific examples include:
- Locker rooms for all student-athletes.
- A renovated pool dedicated for competitive use by Xavier’s varsity teams and area clubs.
- Ancillary space for strength and athletic training, so support areas can be paired with locker rooms, training and practice spaces.
- Adequate office space for Xavier’s Olympic sport coaches, including recruiting areas that represent Xavier in a first-class manner.
- The creation of space for sport-specific training, so Xavier’s teams no longer need to leave Xavier to travel to places like Ignition in Mason for training.
