J. PAGE HAYDEN FIELD

Hayden Field, named after J. Page Hayden (1898-1979), is the home of the Xavier University baseball team. The Musketeers have played at the same on-campus site since the 1920's, when then St. Xavier University purchased the Avondale Athletic Club in Evanston.
Hayden Field was dedicated in 1982 when money donated in Hayden's name was used to fund the renovation of XU's baseball field. The field was renovated in 2010, adding a new playing surface, brick backstop, and dugouts.
Prior to the 2022 season, Hayden Field was upgraded again with the installation of new artificial turf, an updated backstop and dugouts.
Hayden Field's current dimensions are 310' to left, 380' to center and 310' to right.
HEIDT FAMILY CHAMPIONS CENTER

The Heidt Family Champions Center is the home of Xavier’s Olympic sports and the nearly 250 student-athletes who call it home. The newly renovated, state-of-the art “Olympic Village” is home to 60 percent of Xavier’s student-athletes and nearly half of the department’s staff and coaches. The building opened in the spring of 2021.
Construction on the facility, named for lead donors Dr. Rob Heidt, Jr. and his wife Julia Heidt, began in 2020 following the completion of the Health United Building on Xavier's campus. With the addition of a new student recreation center at the HUB, Xavier Athletics transformed the former O'Connor Sports Center into a state-of-the art training center.

The transition into the Heidt Family Champions Center will change the landscape for Xavier’s Olympic sports. The relocation of Xavier’s Olympic sports to a newly renovated, state-of-the art “Olympic Village” will transform the experience for 60 percent of Xavier’s student-athletes and nearly half of the department’s staff and coaches. Specific examples include:
- Locker rooms for all student-athletes.
- A renovated pool dedicated for competitive use by Xavier’s varsity teams and area clubs.
- Ancillary space for strength and athletic training, so support areas can be paired with locker rooms, training and practice spaces.
- Adequate office space for Xavier’s Olympic sport coaches, including recruiting areas that represent Xavier in a first-class manner.
- The creation of space for sport-specific training, so Xavier’s teams no longer need to leave Xavier to travel to places like Ignition in Mason for training.
