Burdette, Piech Named to ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team

Both named to All-East Region Second Team
GREENSBORO, N.C. - A pair of Musketeers, Clay Burdette and Ryan Piech, picked up All-Region honors from ABCA/Rawlings, both earning a spot on the NCAA Div. I East All-Region Second Team.
Burdette, an outfielder from Cincinnati, led the Musketeers and ranked third in the league with a .343 average at the plate for the season, and finished 2026 with team highs for RBIs (45) and runs scored (43). Burdette's 17 doubles ranked second in the league, while his 17 home runs were ranked third in the conference through the end of the BIG EAST Tournament, to give him a .701 slugging percentage, the top mark in the league and No. 44 in NCAA DI through the end of May. Burdette also led the Musketeers with 10 stolen bases.
Burdette was selected to the All-BIG EAST First Team following the season.
Piech, a right-handed pitcher from Aurora, Ohio, had a 3.18 ERA through 76.1 innings pitched across 14 starts, leading Xavier's qualified pitchers. He limited opposing batters to a .201 average at the plate for the season, with a WHIP of 1.14. Piech's career-best 98 strikeouts led the Musketeers and ranked No. 3 in the league and No. 51 in NCAA DI at the conclusion of conference tournaments, while his 11.55 strikeouts per nine innings ranked first in the league. Piech's 6.60 hits allowed per nine innings was also the best in the BIG EAST and No. 40 in NCAA DI at the conclusion of league tournament play.
Piech was selected to the All-BIG EAST First Team following the season, and earned a spot on the 2026 BIG EAST All-Tournament Team.
