Xavier Athletics Announces Victory Parkway Preview

Basketball preview event features special guests Jason Benetti and Val Ackerman
CINCINNATI -- Xavier University Athletics presents the Victory Parkway Preview, an evening to tip-off the upcoming basketball season on Monday, October 2 at Cintas Center. The Victory Parkway Preview will be hosted by Jason Benetti, FOX College Sports and Chicago White Sox broadcaster, and include hors d'oeuvres and open bar.
The event will preview the upcoming Xavier men's and women's basketball seasons, talk about the state of college basketball, and includes special guest appearances by BIG EAST Commissioner Val Ackerman, Sedler Family head men's basketball coach Sean Miller, new Xavier women's basketball head coach Billi Chambers, and Greg Christopher, Vice President and Director of Athletics.
Cost is $100 per person and registration will close on Friday, September 22. All proceeds benefit the All For One's Basketball Excellence Fund.
The evening opens with a cocktail reception, food stations and passed hors d'oeuvres at 6:00 p.m. with the program following at 7:00 p.m. A first look at "Phase 1" updates to Cintas Center on the event-level will also be open exclusively for guests attending the event.

About Jason Benetti
Jason Benetti is in his eighth season as a member of the Chicago White Sox TV broadcast team, and his fifth as the club's full-time play-by-play voice. He signed with FOX Sports in August 2022 to handle play-by-play of college football and basketball, NFL and Major League Baseball games, and was one of 10 finalists for the National Sports Media Association's National Sportscaster of the Year Award in 2022.
About Val Ackerman
Val Ackerman was named the fifth Commissioner of the Big East Conference on June 26, 2013. She was the founding President of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and is a past President of USA Basketball. She has had a long and accomplished career in the sports industry and is one of the few executives in sports who has held leadership positions in both men's and women's sports at the collegiate, professional, national team and international levels. She is an inductee of the Naismith Memorial Basketball of Fame (2021) and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame (2011). In 2016, Val received the Women's Sports Foundation's Billie Jean King Contribution Award for significant contributions to the development and advancement of women's sports.
