As part of the program's 12th, Formica Corporation, Xavier University and Learfield's Xavier Sports Properties are teaming up with Cincinnati Parks to plant 10 trees locally for every three-point basket made by the Xavier Musketeers men's and women's basketball teams during the 2025-26 season.
For the first time, the initiative will include both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, doubling the potential impact across the 2025–2026 season.
The program unites Formica Corporation, Xavier University, and Learfield Sports’ Xavier Sports Properties with the Cincinnati Parks Foundation to provide funding to plant approximately 10 trees locally for every three-point basket made by the Xavier Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams during the season.
Trees will be planted throughout the city by Cincinnati Parks thanks to a generous donation to the Cincinnati Parks Foundation supporting this effort. Last year, the team made 285 three-pointers for 2,850 new trees in the city. Since the program’s inception, nearly 25,000 trees have been planted by Formica Corporation and Xavier Basketball.
The number of three-pointers and corresponding trees planted will be updated throughout the season and announced during games, as part of radio broadcasts and on GoXavier.com. Whether made at home or away games, all three-pointers from both the men’s and women’s teams count toward the total number of trees planted.
In addition to the Threes for Trees program, Formica Corporation also partners with Learfield/Xavier Sports Properties to sponsor the John D. Dovich Courtside Club Presented by FENIX®.
