Corgi Race Application
Xavier Athletics is looking for Corgis to show off their speed in the Corgi Race, which will take place at halftime of the Xavier men's basketball game against Eastern Michigan on Friday, Nov. 6. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. The winning Corgi will receive 2 tickets to a future Xavier men's basketball game and a puppy prize pack.
Corgi Requirements
- Must be well-behaved and able to adapt to new environments. Must be current on vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, and one of DA2PP/DHPP/DAPP (proof required). Corgis without current vaccinations will not be accepted.
- Must be spayed or neutered.
- Open to Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Cardigan Welsh Corgis, and American Corgis (Pembroke/Cardigan mixes).
- Must be comfortable around large crowds and loud noises
Handler Requirements
- Handlers must be able to safely participate, including releasing and catching their corgi on the court and maintaining control before and after the race
- Handlers must be 18 years or older.
