Pleiman was a four-time all-conference selection, winning at least 15 matches each season to amass an overall record of 63-17 in dual matches. With open matches included, Pleiman graduated with an overall record of 80-26 in singles matches, which stood as seventh best at the time of her graduation in number of wins, and her winning percentage of .755 ranked sixth when she graduated among Xavier players who had played in at least 40 matches.
In doubles, Pleiman amassed 64 wins, a number that ranked 12th in Xavier's record books at the time of her graduation. Of her 64 wins, 24 came from playing in the No. 1 spot in dual matches.
Pleiman was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year in 2010, and she earned a place on the Atlantic 10 Conference First Team in each of her four seasons at XU. She only lost two conference matches in all four years and was undefeated in the conference tournament, leading the team to the finals her junior and senior year. While a junior, Katie was the first-ever Musketeer to compete at the All-American Tennis Championships at UCLA and earned a ranking of 17 on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women's Ohio Valley Region ranking, the first Xavier female athlete to finish a season ranked. She earned Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team honors as a junior and senior, as well as ITA Division I All-Academic team all three eligible years.
