Myron M. Kilgore
- Induction:
- 1990
- Class:
- 1958
Myron Kilgore was a halfback for the Musketeers during a successful period in the mid-1950s. XU recorded marks of 7-2 (1955), 7-3 (1956), and 5-5 (1957).
As a sophomore, he piled up his top yardage season, rushing 59 times for 230 yards (3.9 per carry). A leg injury slowed him down as a junior, allowing him only 47 carries for 114 yards (2.4 per carry). As a senior, he ran 30 times for 76 yards (2.8 per carry).
There is one highlight that sticks out in Kilgore's career, a career which saw him rush for 420 yards. He broke for a 64-yard touchdown in a 26-13 win over Dayton in his junior year.
Kilgore made an impact during his stay at Xavier. Unfortunately, injuries left him short of expectations.
