Zach Polk holds the all-time record for the most BIG EAST championship medals (17) and points in Xavier Track and Field History. Throughout his career, he ranked in the top five of every event he competed in — 100m dash, 200m dash, long jump, high jump and the 4x100 relay. Polk also set the school record in long jump and was a key member of the record-holding 4x100 relay team. His sophomore and junior years saw him earn All-BIG EAST honors for both Indoor and Outdoor seasons. In 2016, Polk made conference history by scoring a record-breaking 38 points in a single BIG EAST Championship, prompting the creation of the "High Point Performer of the Meet" award, which he won the following year.
