May 2000 Musketeers place second in NCAAs

The Xavier rifle team posted the University's best-ever showing in an NCAA Championship with a second place finish at the 2000 NCAA Rifle Championships. The Musketeers shooters finished with a total score of 6156, second to only Alaska-Fairbanks who tallied 6285. Xavier's 4616 score in smallbore was second overall, and the Musketeers had the third highest air rifle total with 1540.
