Doutt Named to A-10 All-Rookie Team

CINCINNATI - Xavier University freshman Sara Doutt has been named to the 2005 Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Soccer All-Rookie Team in voting conducted among the Conference's head coaches, it was announced by the A-10 office on Wednesday afternoon.

The first-year forward from Tyler, Texas, led the Musketeers with seven goals scored and also tallied three assists to total 17 points on the season, which tied for the team lead. Doutt started 16 of XU's 18 matches and enjoyed a season-best performance in the 6-2 win over Temple on Sept. 30 where she scored a pair of goals to go along with one assist.

Under the leadership of first-year head coach Alvin Alexander, XU posted a 9-7-2 overall record and a 4-3-2 mark in the Atlantic 10 Conference action. The 2005 roster featured 17 newcomers and Xavier will return three of its top four goals scorers in 2006.
