Xavier Basketball Billboards Debut This Week

The Xavier University Athletics Department unveiled today two outdoor billboard designs that will blanket Southwest Ohio the remainder of August until November. Xavier partnered with Norton Outdoor to place the outdoor campaign.
Travelers throughout the area will receive a reminder that the Musketeers will return to the hardwood shortly for the 2008-09 season. The campaign will feature two different concepts that will provide highly-visible signage on many of the areas most-traveled thoroughfares. Senior guard B.J. Raymond will grace the first concept which will debut this week along I-71 South near William Howard Taft Road. The text reads "Hungry For More" and pictures Raymond after his game winning three-pointer in the 2008 NCAA "Sweet Sixteen" win over West Virginia.
The other concept features a Xavier fanatic painted blue and crossing his arms in an X. The text reads "Get In The Game" and is intended to encourage fans to join the Xavier Nation at Cintas Center. "The Xavier brand is very powerful in our market, but beyond raising awareness about our season ticket packages we also want to express how important our fans are to the continued success of our basketball programs," explains Brian Hicks, Assistant AD for Marketing. "We are excited about this campaign and how it will contribute to the continued growth of our fan base in Cincinnati." Last season, Xavier had nine sellouts and reached a Cintas Center record with over 170,000 fans passing through the turnstiles.
The campaign will include another placement along I-71 North near Smith/Edwards Roads in addition to over thirty additional displays throughout the area. The season ticket campaign launched in late July with print ads and will continue throughout November and includes outdoor, print, online, radio, television, voice messaging and e-marketing components.
Season tickets are currently available by calling the Cintas Center Ticket Office at 513-745-3411 or online here. The 2008-09 home schedule includes 16 home games at Cintas Center. Full season tickets begin at $250.
