Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at St. Mary's Invitational

MORAGA, Calif. - The Xavier men's golf team finished the St. Mary's Invitational in fifth place after posting a team score of 7-over-par 295 in the final round. Senior Sebastian MacLean led the charge for XU with a fifth place finish.
MacLean carded a final round of even-par 72 behind three birdies and an eagle to finish at even-par 216 for the tournament. Freshman Korey Ward had the best Musketeer round on the day with a 1-under-par 71 for a 6-over-par 222 tournament total. Ward finished his last round with two consecutive birdies to end in 22nd place.
Senior Chris Burger and junior Aaron Siekmann ended the tournament with a 14-over-par 230 total. Burger equaled his effort from the first round with a 7-over-par 79. Siekmann turned in his best round of the tournament with a 2-over-par 74. Nick Helser finished with a 16-over-par 232 after turning in a final round of 6-over-par 78.
