MacLean in Fourth Place After First Round of NCAA Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Xavier senior men's golfer Sebastian MacLean turned in a 3-under-par 68 Thursday at the first round of the 2012 NCAA Ann Arbor Regional held at the par 71 (6723 yards) University of Michigan course. MacLean is in fourth place overall, just one shot off the lead heading into day two. As the top individual, he will tee off at 10:20 a.m. tomorrow morning from hole 10.
MacLean posted three birdies on the back nine, including back-to-back birdies on the par-four 15 and 16. He headed into the clubhouse with a 2-under 33 over the back nine holes.
Even through the first four holes of the day, MacLean posted a bogey on hole five. He answered by sinking his second shot on the sixth hole for eagle. At the turn MacLean had tallied a 1-under 35.
