First Tournament in the Books for Men's Golf

DADE CITY, FLA. – Xavier men's golf finished their first tournament of the spring this afternoon at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play in Dade City. Xavier was defeated in the seventh-place match by the host team, Ball State, 4-2.
The Musketeers, as a team, lost in tiebreakers in the first and final round in what proved to be a very tough tournament.
Top performers for Xavier were junior's Fox Morrissey and Matt Wetterich, who both won two out of their three individual matches for the tournament.
The Musketeers return to the course on Monday, March 7th for the Colleton River Invitational in Hilton Head, S.C.
