For every assist made by a Xavier player, Deer Park Roofing will make a donation to People Working Cooperatively’s “Ramp it up for Veterans Program”
CINCINNATI – Xavier University Athletics and Learfields' Xavier Sports Properties have partnered with Deer Park Roofing and People Working Cooperatively for the Raise the Roof Campaign. The campaign will support local veterans in need of roof repairs.
Throughout the 2017-18 men's basketball season, for every assist made by a Xavier player, Deer Park Roofing will make a donation to People Working Cooperatively's "Ramp it up for Veterans Program" supporting local low income or Veterans with a disability in need of roof repairs. Each year, People Working Cooperatively is in more than 700 households providing services that not only address the needs of the structure, but also the wellbeing of the residents and this partnership will allow them to assist even more veterans.
"Deer Park Roofing believes in protecting what's important and we look at veterans as the embodiment of this principle. Veterans put everything on the line to protect, preserve, and defend our great country. Deer Park Roofing is privileged to partner with People Working Cooperatively and Xavier University to honor our veterans" said Nick Sabino, President of Deer Park Roofing.
"Deer Park Roofing has been a loyal supporter of Xavier Athletics for over a decade. We are proud to team up with Deer Park Roofing and continue to support the great work of People Working Cooperatively," added Duffy House, General Manager of Xavier Sports Properties.
Deer Park Roofing was founded in 1996 and now has a second location in Florence, KY along with the original office in Deer Park. With over 100 employees Deer Park Roofing offers design services, budget assistance, prevention maintenance and repair services along with installation from a wide variety of manufacturers.
"PWC is thrilled to be a strategic partner with both Xavier Athletics and Deer Park Roofing to make a real difference in the lives of our low income or veterans with disabilities throughout the Greater Cincinnati area," said Ron Henlein, Director, Corporate/Community Partnerships with People Working Cooperatively.
People Working Cooperatively is a unique, non-profit organization serving low-income homeowners including those who are elderly, people with disabilities and veterans. PWC strengthens communities by providing critical home repairs, energy conservation and accessibility modifications.
Xavier men's basketball fans will be updated on the number of assists throughout the season on social media and through in-arena and radio elements. All assists made, at both home and away games, will be counted towards the final donation in an effort to help local veterans in need.
In addition to Xavier University, Learfield manages the multimedia rights and sponsorships for over 120 collegiate institutions and associations, and titles the prestigious Learfield Directors' Cup. To learn more about its history, businesses and job opportunities, visit www.learfieldsports.com.
