Hunnell, Fitzpatrick Share BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Week Honors

NEW YORK - Xavier women's golf picked up a pair of weekly honors on Thursday as Mikayla Fitzpatrick and Lyndsey Hunnell shared the award following the Musketeers' team victory at the Rio Verde Invitational last weekend.

XU won its second team title on Sunday, putting together a team score of 591 (+23).

At the tournament, Fitzpatrick and Hunnell both finished tied for fourth overall. Each finished with a total of 146 (+4). Fitzpatrick shot even par (71) in the second round while Hunnell carded a one-over (72). Fitzpatrick and Hunnell both finished tied for second in birdies with seven and tied for fifth in Par 4 scoring at 4.09 (+2).

The Musketeers return to the course on March 11-12 at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev. The tournament is hosted at Boulder Creek Golf Club by South Dakota State.
