Women's Golf Sits Tied for First at Jackrabbit Invitational with Four Golfers in the Top Six

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Xavier women's golf finished the first day of the Jackrabbit Invitational in a tie for first with a total of 618 (+42).

The Musketeers first in par-3 scoring at 3.20, second in par-4 scoring at 4.55 and birdies with 17, and third in total pars with 98. Four XU golfers are placed in the top six through the first 36 holes.

Mikayla Fitzpatrick is tied for second with a total of 152 (+8) through day one. She is tied for second in par-4 scoring at 4.35 and par-5 scoring at 4.88. Fitzpatrick also carded 20 pars and five birdies so far.

Lyndsey Hunnell and Andie Shukow are tied for fourth overall, each with a total of 155 (+11). Hunnell is tied for second in par-4 scoring at 4.35 and has 18 pars along with five birdies. Shukow leads the tournament in par-3 scoring at 2.88 and carded 23 pars to lead XU.

Mikayla Smith carded a 156 (+12) to be tied for sixth after the first 36 holes. Smith recorded 18 pars, four birdies, and carded an eagle.

Amy Kucera carded a 174 (+30) on day one.

Ke'Asha Phillips, one of four individuals for Xavier finished the first day tied for 15th. Phillips carded a 1-over on the second 18 holes and recorded a 160 (+16) for the first 36 holes.
