GolfWeek Conference Challenge Provides Test for Women's Golf Early in Fall Season

VAIL, Colo. - Xavier women's golf comes off of a tournament victory at the Redbird Invitational and heads to Colorado for the GolfWeek Conference Challenge as their second tournament of the fall. The 11th annual GolfWeek Conference Challenge features 18 schools from 18 different conferences competing in the three-day outing.

Mikayla Fitzpatrick added another top-five finish to her resume following the Redbird and the BIG EAST Weekly honors for her performance at the tournament. Fitzpatrick's average score per round sits at 72.67 over three rounds this season.
Morgan Tinsley carded a 225 (+9) and finished in a tie for 20th overall in XU's first tournament.
Andie Shukow added a second top-10 finish at the Redbird Invitational, where she finished tied for eighth with a total of 220 (+4).
Kayla Benge will make her fall season debut this coming week. Benge ended last season with a scoring average of 79.88.

The outing is a 54-hole event over three days beginning Monday morning.
Tee times will be announced in the coming days.
There are 18 teams competing in the tournament, representing 18 different conferences. The teams ( followed by conference represented) are NC State (ACC), SMU (American), Kennesaw State (A-Sun), TCU (BIG 12), Sacramento State (Big Sky), Campbell (Big South), Nebraska (BIG Ten), UC-Riverside (Big West), Delaware (Colonial), San Diego State (Mountain West), UCLA (PAC-12), Ole Miss (SEC), East Tennessee State (SoCon), Central Arkansas (Southland), Denver (Summit League), South Alabama (Sun Belt), Pepperdine (WCC), and Xavier (BIG EAST).
